Veteran's Day Layout

This second layout was a lot of fun to create. Earlier this school year, our students and staff organized a Veteran's Day Celebration. The 5th graders served as hosts and were able to invite family members and friends who have served in the military. The response to this program was overwhelming! The gymnasium was standing room only and we had over 100 veterans show up to be honored. The students did a wonderful job singing, reciting poems, and sharing stories. This is a tradition that I hope continues for a very long time!

This layout features the Superhero paper pack. In this project, we learned how to make the argyle paper pattern on the bottom of the page using rotated squares and stitching. Although it was a bit time consuming, I absolutely love the finished product.
